Week of February 9

I can't believe it took me this long to figure out why the days and weeks go by so fast at Lake School....because we're having so much fun with learning that we don't even realize it, and before we know it a day has passed, a week has passed, or a month has passed! And another great week we have in store for us. Not only is it Spirit Week at Lake School, but also the week of Valentine's as well as the week before Winter Break. Lots of energy on campus this week!

And while staff and students energize the campus, for three days I will be getting energized myself by attending the annual CISC Symposium. This annual leadership symposium brings together over 1,000 educational leaders throughout California for three days of networking and learning about the latest shifts in education and models of innovative action. I warn the staff before I go to this conference because I come back with a ton of ideas I want to implement at Lake, on top of all the great things that are already happening, so they need to rein me in! For specific information regarding this year's symposium, click here.

Although I'll be off campus for three days this week attending the conference, it's another great week to be a Lake Panther!

Monday, February 9
Spirit Week - Sports Day
Note to teachers: Science Fair deadline is March 10, only one month away. Now is the time to start talking to your students about possible projects.

Leaving around 2:30 to visit a charter school in Red Bluff that has closed its doors...may be a chance to purchase some science materials at a discounted price.

3:00 - Learning Center
